Late at night, Emily, a 28 year old texted 24 of her friends. It was a week before April Fools Day.
Some good news on the way. Will tell you all about it on the 2nd. Give me your email id for that.
Soon a gamut of replies followed.
“What’s the mystery about?” asked Alvin.
“Tell me. Tell me. Tell me. Tell me,” wrote a 50 times, Harsh.
“I am excited, can’t you just tell me the good news now?” questioned Rahul.
But out of the double dozen, most of them wanted to know who the guy was? They were all expecting either an engagement or a wedding invitation.
For the next few days, friends tried to guess, people whom Emily spoke to occasionally called her wanting to know what the surprise was about.
But Emily just wouldn’t tell!
On the midnight of the 2nd she messaged again.
I am publishing a book titled, ‘Games That People Play’. I have sent you the link through email.
