"Hey Lyle! How are you doing now?" Susan asked her friend over the phone.
"Much better, but still weak," answered Lyle.
"So, how many more days do you plan on not attending office? Everyone's worried about you," said Susan.
"A day or two maybe. I am sure it must be boss who must be most worried, but about the pending work, not me," said Lyle.
"Don't worry about work. Vashist and I are handling all the small queries regarding your project. And boss," she laughed, then continued, "you know him well. He is a coconut".
"Yup, hard from out, soft from inside," said Lyle then continued, "oh, by the way, thank you for the bouquet and the get well soon card you sent. That was really sweet of you".
"That I am," she giggled.
"You didn't have to do that".
"I didn't have to, but I wanted to," said Susan and continued, "I remember when I fell ill the last time, you used to call every day. And you even came to visit my mom when she was recovering from jaundice".
"Oh, that was another story. I did all that for a reason. A reason you know too well," said Lyle.
"Maybe, it is the same reason," said Susan.
There was silence after that on both sides for a few seconds. Then Lyle broke it by calling out, "Hello Su! Are you there?".
No reply. But Lyle was sure Susan was still on the line, so he asked, "Do you love me too?"
"I do," came the reply and then she added, "Now open the door you moron, I am waiting outside your door".
