NO WHATSAPP?

Apple was sitting amongst her girls group in the train. While the others were busy talking to each other she was busy talking to a friend.

“Karan, email me the pictures ya.”

“No……….No………Don’t  WhatsApp me the pics – just quit WhatsApp yesterday.”

“Why? What do you mean why? It was Women’s Day and I wanted liberation from the Green devil.”

Once she kept the call, Kiran touched her on the arm and said, “I heard you telling your friend that you quit WhatsApp.”

“Yes, I did.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know. I felt like it, that’s why.”

“Damn. Now how will we all communicate?”

“Message me or call, whichever you like.”

“Girls, Apple has left  WhatsApp. Tell her something!”

The girls tried to explain to Apple how she should be on the chatting app and how empty the chat group would be. Apple on her part tried to reason with them. But after a futile ten minutes of discussions, she finally said, “give me some time. I will be back but I don’t know when.”

When she reached her office, Apple was confused. Why couldn’t people just give her some space?

Still confused with everything, she confided with her colleague Andy.

“So, I just quit WhatsApp yesterday. I mean what’s the point anyway? I don’t talk to anyone anymore and vice versa.

“You quit WhatsApp?”

“Now you don’t start too!”

Before Andy could answer, she walked out of the office. The rest of the day went by calmly.

She went home after work. In her room, she quietly lay on the bed with her mobile in one hand. She switched on the net and opened WhatsApp. Scrawling down the line of contacts, she stopped at the name of a guy. Her eyes started to water as she looked at the picture of her ex-boyfriend with a girl and a status that read – Engaged!
